What’s New in Wolftech News 15

Open and innovative workflows. Unique collaboration features. AI enabled. Empowering journalists on mobile. Cloud-hosted advanced web-editing capabilities. And that is just a small selection of what is new with Wolftech 15.

Let’s begin with a story that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in the newsroom bringing smarter tools, tighter integration and advanced mobile functionality. The new Wolftech News 15 release marks a major leap forward in openness, efficiency and collaboration. One of the biggest highlights is that the new advanced web editor, powered by CuttingRoom, is now embedded directly within Wolftech News bringing industry-leading web-editing features into your stories redefining collaboration.

New Era of Web-Based Editing

Directly from within Wolftech News, users can create sequences and edit with CuttingRoom. This includes editing with growing files, transcript-based editing, support for After Effects motion graphic templates, video effects and transitions and audio manipulation including voiceover recording. Publishing can also be done to chosen platforms.

With the editor built directly in Wolftech News, there are further benefits to the collaborative workflow. Chat with colleagues as you collaborate on the same timeline concurrently without the need for rendering. Legal and rights guidance workflows are at your fingertips to support you alongside your edit for clarity. Immediately access the right copy for your graphics or request help as you work on your edit. When done, your approved render can make its way into your story board ready for publishing across chosen platforms.

Mobile Journalism Reimagined

The Wolftech Go mobile app—which won TV Tech’s Best in Show Award at NAB 2025 for its full-featured experience—expands its capabilities, allied to the new Avid Reporter app for streaming uploads.

Now journalists in the field can capture recordings directly into Wolftech stories or publishing outputs Newsroom scripts can also be sent for AI-powered prompting in the Reporter App for the journalist in the field to use on their mobile device. It’s a totally new experience.
